The English Limited for the carrying on of a trade

Anybody who thinks about starting his/her own business has to get over quite some difficulties in Germany, Austria, Italy or Sweden and in his/her independence sometimes must bear big difficulties:

• Foundation formalities, running errands at the authorities
• Foundation capital (e.g. ATS 700.00,-- for a Limited in Austria)
• Responsibility with personal property in case of a personal company
• Proof of concessions, master craftsmans diploma etc.

In short young management is not really supported in Austria, Germany, Italy or Sweden. As Austria now is a member state of the EC (European Community) since 1.1.1995 and according to the EC legislation every existing company within the EC is allowed to carry out businesses anywhere within the EC area, this is therefore also true for Austria since 1995. This means that every company within the EC area may carry out businesses in Austria. This is true for Great Britain, which is known to be an EC member, and therefore also true for the English Limited (Ltd.) companies, which more or less correspond with the German or Austrian GmbH, but with certain differences:

• The foundation can be carried out within 10 days.
• As there exists the liberty of trade in England an extensive range of trades can be carried on with such an Ltd. without the proof of a concession and without having the master craftsmans diploma or without having to employ a master craftsman.
• The choice of name is more free than in Austria, Germany, Italy or Sweden.
• The responsibility of this Ltd. is 2 pounds Sterling, which is about ATS 39,--
• Your personal responsibility is absolutely zero except for the case of deceit or wilful criminal offence (e.g. wilful destruction of someone elses property).
• The costs of the foundation are only about one tenth (1/10) of what must be paid for a German or Austrian Ltd.

Certainly there are certain things to be taken into consideration and to be planned and organised with the foundation of an English Ltd. Nevertheless in contrast to the Austrian or German Ltd. (GmbH) the way is much simpler, clearer and financially relatively easy to realise, and through us you have a serious partner at your side, who kindly helps you with your first steps on your way to independence.
