MEMETATRON'S CUBE Geometry and Art. The above figure includes within its design each of the five pythagorean solids shown below (can you spot them?). The proposal is that 7th, 8th and 9th grade pupils shall draw and paint, with the help of the artist, this image of Metatron's Cube, as well as other geometrical figures, on the walls of the science department corridor during the spring term, 1999. During phase 2 (autumn 1999) it is hoped to broaden the scope of the project by painting further murals containing imagery drawn from other subjects covered in the science curriculum (physics, chemistry, biology etc). |
