Here some pictures taken while visiting Germany for some special Bundesliga games! They have some stories to go with it, but please mind that in the beginning I was just a teenage girl.... :-) Anyway, the pictures are nice of course....
First time I ever saw him "live". It was at a match against 1. FC Köln in Köln. Borussia Mönchengladbach won that game 2-1. This picture shows me (well, I'm not on the pic...) giving him a letter through the fence. My best friend took the photo, yep, standing behind the fence. It must have been a little bit strange for him that it was someone like me giving him that letter. I mean, I was wearing a 1.FC Köln match shirt...
This was taken in the same season, but being 1995 already. Again against 1.FC Köln, but then in Mönchengladbach. Again, this picture is taken from behind a fence, you wouldn't tell, would you? I screamed pretty loud for him to come over, and it was very nice of him to come, after all I had a little gift for him, because he was going to be a Daddy again pretty soon. We both had to reached over the fence. He was quite surprised, but I think he appreciated it anyway. Gosh, I start to sound like a teenager! Mind you, I was back then, I don't think I dare to this anymore...
November 1995. I was visiting a penpal (now former penpal) in Mönchengladbach and we went to the stadium the day after the match, just to see if we were any lucky to meet some players. And actually we were. We were also incredibly lucky to wittness this photo shooting Patrik had to do for a Swedish newspaper.
He really had to pose and to pose and to pose....
... and to pose and to pose... I think I made pretty a lot pictures then. These three are the best I think, and this being my favourite.
And the day after that, Borussia Mönchengladbach
had a friendly in a town nearby. This picture is taken after that match.
Patrik played only the first half, like a lot of players, but he
was the only one who came back out of the cabins the watch the second half,
therefore I was lucky to take this picture. You could interpetate the look
on his face as "you again...", but personally I think it meant "hurry,
I'm freezing!". It was very very cold that day.
To be honest, I actually regret very much that my
best friend wasn't there as well. It would have been a much more nicer
experience with her than with the girl I've been there. Not that she wasn't
nice, but it takes away a lot of specialness, and besides, I don't have
contact with that girl anymore.
This was taken after the last match of the season 1995/1996. I've been to Mönchengladbach with my best friend, and Gladbach lost 1-2 against 1860 Munich. It was chaos after the match! But they opened the gate for the fans later on. We were fortunate to get in touch with two Swedish reporters, who did an interview with him. The blond guy on the right is one of them. I don't know if I made it too on Swedish tv then, but they have filmed me waving the flag of Skåne, the part of Sweden he is from, and all the Swedes were from playing for Borussia back then. Well, they filmed more the flagg than me of course....
This is taken by my best friend during the interview!
One of the few times he actually smiled during that interview. It was weird,
every body was surrounding him but nobody, with the exception of my best
friend, understood a single word he was saying in Swedish and this horrible
accent he has from Skåne....
Pictures 1, 2, 7 and 8 are taking by my best friend. 3, 4, 5, and 6 are taken by myself. Please do not steal! At least try to ask permission first...
