Long time no see... But
some major changes have been going on, also with Johan. He has signed for
Örgryte IS, which will be his third team in Göteborg. Smart done,
he won´t have to move, and hopefully he will get the chances he deserves,
and will once again get back to the shape that makes him Sweden´s
best defender.

According to the IFK-mailinglist,
Johan hasn´t signed a new contract with IFK yet. Fears are that he
probably won´t do that either... Too bad because he has been playing
very good. Hopefully he won´t join AIK after this season, like probably
every other good player in the Swedish league will!

Johan told me and my friend
that he will only be suspended for one game, so that's good news. He also
said he was really surprised that he got sent off, and that it was a wrong
decision. He wasn't happy with it, but he still seemed in a good mood.
But he always is... He was taking care of the dog of a friend of his, called
Teddy, who was really sweet.
But I noticed the huge black
eye when I was at Kamratgården today (see the new pics!), it doesn't
look too pleasant! In the newspaper it also said that he had bruises from
his armpit down to his thigh from the feet of the same player that caused
his black eye, and who also happens to be his very close friend, Christian
Lundström.

I've just come home from
the derby IFK - Västra Frölunda, and it was a very emotional
game. Frölunda is Johan's former club and I guess it's always a bit
different when you play against your friends, but this was really something.
Johan got a redcard in the 55th minute, I've seen the pictures on tv twice
now and I still don't understand why. Of course, he was furious with the
referee and so was I, and with me the rest of the supporters. I've never
heard them yell and whistle so loud before! I've never seen a player from
my team get a red card before either I have to say, and that it had to
be my favourite player was really double as hard to take. IFK did win the
game, because Frölunda played even worse than they did, and of course
I was very happy. The players were all very relieved and thanked the fans
greatly. It was a bit of a bummer for me to see all those happy players
doing the wave for us without Johan... I hope that he is okay and won't
worry too much. It wasn't his fault, the referee just needs to read the
rules again.
So Johan will be suspended
the next game, hopefully it will be just one, and that's really not what
IFK needs as he is their best defender. One good thing is that we won't
have to see Erlingmark up front...

Johan played for 25 minutes
in his first international game for Sweden, and he did really well. The
commentators kept saying how much he deserved it after all his bad luck.
It was really a great moment here in the appartment when he came in, me
and my friend were applauding him and we were so excited :-)
Sweden won 2-1, by the way.

Johan is definately on a
roll at the moment! Yesterday evening he was called in for the friendly
game Sweden plays against Jamaica! Finally people seem to notice how good
he is... What else can I say but "I told you so" :-)
Congratiulations Johan!
You deserve it!

IFK played a draw for the
400th time against Hammarby (2-2), and Johan scored IFK's second goal.
Hammarby equalised in overtime on a undeserved freekick, and it was really
frustrating. When will this bad luck end?? But Johan's goalwas at least
something to be happy about...

IFK played 0 - 0 against
Djurgården, and Johan was called as something like "man of the match".

Not real news, but finally
Johan is getting the appreciation he deserves: a magazine wrote that he
is the best defender in Sweden! "I told you so..."
Oh yeah, and IFK won the
quarter final in the Swedish cup against IFK Norrköping with 3-0.
Well done boys!

IFK
played Helsingborg IF yesterday in the first Allsvenskan game, and they
lost 3-1... The first goal of the season was scored by Erik Wahlstedt who
used to play for IFK (and pretty well too...). To make things even more
bitter, HIF's second goal came from Johan's foot... I'm not sure if we
should call it an own-goal, because the ball just merely touched it, but
anyway... Hermansson scored IFK's only goal. IFK didn't play well at all
but I hope some strength will come back soon so that this season won't
be so bad as the last one!
IFK's
next game is next Monday, against Djurgårdens IF here in Göteborg,
and I'm going to skip class to watch it!

Finally
there is an update here, but not a happy one. In the game again Elfsborg
the 4th of April, Johan got injured at halftime. I don't know how bad the
injury is, but if I find out I will put it on the page of course.
Also
there has been an article about him in last week's issue of Fotbollmagasinet.
More about that later...
