The reason why German Sheperds has become one of the world´s most popular dogs is
due to its loyalty, strength and intelligence. Even in this breed there are
some "bad" examples. This type of dog likes to work both physically and
mentally. It is know to be a very good and loyal family dog.
Historik;
Even though this breed is well established, not until the end of
18 hundreds did they start to breed this type of dog. To reach the goal of establishing
an all around working dog, they used a bunch of local German Sheepdogs. The first German
Sheperd was Horand von Grafrath.
Temperament;
Medium size, strong and muscular. This dog should show
large strength, intelligence, limberness and well balance in every aspect.
It should also show a positive temperament and balanced nerves, be aware and loyal,
but also show stubbornness, guardian instinct. What you liik for is a well dog in a
well body.
Color;
Should be black white brown/red brown/yellow marks or gray, or all black.
However, never white! Size; male 60-65 cm, bitch 56-60 cm.
