(c)"Rymddoktorn" alias Bertil Sundberg the well-known Swedish satellite columnist at PÅTV - The Swedish TV Guide belonging to Medvik Publishing, has been declared persona non grata. Last Friday a hitherto unknown vice-president Mr Allan Mabon - probably a temporary "undertaker", who just liquidated Z Mag°zine, sent a letter to Mr Sundberg´s Company announcing the immediate termination of their agreement on collaboration and returned Mr Sundberg´s latest manuscript- "not to be published." The fact is, however, that there was no such contractual business relationship betwen those two companies . Mr Sundberg has been an employee from the very start although during the last years Medvik has been way overdue with his monthly salary payments. The real reason triggered by one week´s cancellation of one of the satellite pages, in favour of an ad was a lack of humility on the part of Mr Sundberg´s side. Instead of being apologetic and humble the media veteran showed no reverence to the management. In an internal PM he criticized the management for lack of action in marketing activities and withholding information to their employees Actually this crisis was just the culmination of several years´of harassment from the management aimed at selected parts of their staff.. "It seems to be a lack of cashflow, which causes the late payments by fax to my bank at closing hour the last day of the month, maintains mr Sundberg, who does not believe there is an act of pure malevolance. Tommy Jeppson is the latest or last one in a row of previous editors in chief to have left suddenly. This termination which is invalid is an over-reaction that is very commom in the history of this notorious conglomerate says Mr Sundberg who thinks Mr Mabon´s appearerance on the scene foreshadows the eventual closure of "coup de grace" for PÅTV, clandestine to the employees. "It feels good to get rid of this muzzle and my self-restrant in editing the manuscripts for reasons of loyalty. Hence I will be able to act as a normal representative of the fourth establishment - the Press- by criticically scrutinizing the various piruettes of this conglomerate, which will hopefully not end up as a "dance macabre". "Rymdakuten"- the hot line - is my baby and I have no intention of ending this service, although it will not be free of charge but will offer an improved service while a small magazine will also be launched in due course for new subscribers and I will not interfere with the actions of the conglogmerate. But as the saying goes: Give a man enough rope and he´ll hang himself " " I have spent too much money and advanced large amounts of cash to be given a blow below the belt as a farewell present. They will be in for a helluva trouble if they try any dirty tricks", concludes Mr Sundberg.***
