Salsa Script Engine

The Salsa Script Engine is the software part that executes the scripts within the Salsa-system. The Salsa Script Language is a rich and powerful scripting language with more than 100 commands available.

  • Copy, rename, delete files and directories.
  • Make different choices depending of a file name a variable name or a number from for example a database.
  • Create, read and write to text and binary files.
  • Start, configure and run Salsa Script Modules.
  • Run any application accessible to the computer where the Salsa Script Engine has been installed.
  • Read and write in databases.
  • Read and write TIFF image files.
  • Read and write PDF image files
  • Read and use JPEG files.
  • Change the color space of an image. Also known as color mode. For example can an CMYK image be converted into a gray-level image.
  • You can define your own functions and enable them in your Salsa Script as a user defined procedure.
  • Update, change, add and delete entries in a database.
