  • 144 projects have been carried out at Datortek Husbyborg since the start in January 1996. The following types of project have been carried out:- investigations, questionnaires, brochures(pamphlets), advertisements, slideshows, HomePages, databases, visiting cards, indices(registers), proformae(examples),translations.   • STUDY METHODS AT HUSBYBORG :



    The studies are divided up into a project form and a data form, but at DATORTEK HUSBYBORG both project work and data studies are carried out together. During data studies you learn how to operate a computer and to use the normal programmes such as word processing, calculating, graphic presentations and databases. You may work alone with instruction manuals, but all the time receive help from an instructor. Both new starters and those with experience have the same chance of developing themselves. During project work you will learn how to work in project form and how to make use of your newfound data skills.You may be able to carry out a commission for someone who orders a project and in that way obtain better contact with the employment market. You will receive instruction during the project and also receive training in how to present and produce the project. The Employment Exchange is responsible for jobsearcher activities for study members during the course.

    INSTRUCTORS :

    Participants have the same instructor for both project and data studies during their time at Datortek.
    The instructors are in touch with the participant's contact person at the Employment Exchange.
    At HUSBYBORG there are qualified instructors with diverse computer specialities.

    AIMS :

    The aim of Datortek's activities are that participants shall:
    Learn how to work with usage of information and computers whilst actively looking for
    work and taking part in project work which is directed towards the employment market.
    Obtain basic knowledge on the computer as a means of assistance, how a computer
    works, and hardware and software.
    Learn about programmeware like, for example, Windows 3.11, Windows 95, calculating, word processing,
    database, graphic presentation and electronic post (e-mail).

    REMUNERATION :

    Participants in Datortek/Activitycentre receive a training allowance. For those participants who are entitled to unemployment benefit or assistance the training allowance corresponds to this amount. The others receive 103 kronor per day. The training allowance is paid out by the national social insurance office.

    CONDITIONS :

    You must be unemployed and registered with the Employment Exchange.
    Unemployed persons may be assigned to Datortek with effect from 1 July from age 20
    and upwards.
    You can participate for up to 12 weeks full-time. The Employment Exchange can decide
    on part-time study in certain circumstances.
