Santorini

We went to Santorini with the "Flying Dolphin" from Ios since there is almost no place to moore. The people in Anthinios, were the ferries moore, told us that there is a new harbour being built at the south end of Santorini which will be available for cruising yachts in the end of 1998.

Thira

This is what Thira looks like from the water, a low city climbing on the top of Santorini with the harbour below.

Lunch at Skaros

After quite a long walk from Thira we arrived at Skaros restaurant to get a well earned beer and something to eat. In the background you can see the small island Nea Kameni.

Oia

The city on the north end of Santorini had an earthquake 1956 in which almost all buildings were lost. Today most oaf the buildings has been restored. And yes, thats Kerstin standing there.

Oia is incredible beautiful with a lot of narrow streets and a famous sunset (which we didn't get to see). The city is very focused on the tourists with jewelry shops and galleries everywhere. In Oia everything is a little bit more expensive than you are used to in Greece.
